About me...
Born and raised in New Zealand. I had an early interest in art ... I spent too much time sketching during Maths classes!
I studied Art at high-school and had some desire to become a professional artist. However I followed a path that lead to work implementing financial systems. I'm sure there's some relationship between developing a financial system solution and painting a picture - I'll let you know when I find it !
I lived in the UK for about 8 years, back to Auckland and eventually moved to Adelaide. Along the way taking more art classes, but in the main I have taught myself.
I'm interested in several styles. A lot of my work has been landscapes and still-life, where I try to develop bold images using strong contrast and shapes. More recently I have been painting contemporary pieces, attempting to create new and engaging objects. |
