ARTIST NOTES: I sometimes like to paint only using one or two colors. As I have a lot of good memories associated with Mordialloc, I wanted to convey a feeling of warmth and happiness, and so, I decided on red and green tones.

ARTIST BIO

I am a self-taught painter of dubious talent. I became serious with my painting around 20 years ago and I’ve worked hard to improve my work. I have struggled in my time but I have taken my inspiration from artist’s far more talented than me who struggled through far more adversity than myself and just kept on painting.

\r\n

I’m always looking to capture the soul of whatever I paint, that something that connects me with the picture. It doesn’t matter what the scene is: landscape, people, an object, as long as I’ve captured that invisible quality that made me want to paint it in the first place.

\r\n

I have painted many different mediums such as, charcoal, water based paints, and acrylics. I love to paint with oils now and I\'m always looking for something new to paint.

\r\n

I’m a big fan of Impressionism and you will see this influence in many of my works.

\r\n

I\'m currently working on a number of paintings I hope to have finished soon. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I have creating them.
