ARTIST BIO

I have been an artist all my life, in my teens I experimented with many different medium until I settled on pencil. My work is mainly on creatures of our world, big and small. Some creatures most people would never see.

I love macro photography and being able to draw in large scale and very fine detail ads another perspective to my passion.

In May 2011 I had my first exhibition at the Meenyan art Gallery. In December 2011 I was invited to display at the Latrobe Regional Gallery and in March 2012 I was also invited to display at the Courthouse Gallery in Yarram.

I am a member of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists.

In 2011 I did a workshop on pastels and have not looked back, I now combine both pencil and pastel on the same piece, this allows me to achieve much bigger pieces of work in a shorter time.

By trade I am a gardener and I am always finding little creatures to photograph then draw. Frogs are my passion, so crawling around in peoples gardens I tend to find quite a few. (my record for frogs in one day was 43) I have a little photo shoot with them, thank them kindly and put them back where I found them.
