ARTIST BIO

Fred Toumayan, born in 1949, of Armenian Decent, enjoyed the arts from an early age, beginning a career within the arts, since the age of 15.  From Solo Exhibitions, and combined exhibitions with other artists, in Australia, and the Middle East.

\r\n

Toumayan’s Career spanned a multitude of talented professions, including, Movie Posters, Cover design, Newspaper Layout, Signwriting, Outdoor Advertising and “BILLBOARD ART ”, Textile Design, Graphic Design…..but his heart had always remained within the Fine Arts.

\r\n

Speaking of early memories he says, “ I remember drawing all the time as a young kid…I’d come home from school, and I start to copy the old masters painting “

In Australia, Toumayan was considered one of the top Mural Artists in within his field, producing Supersite Billboards for many of the world’s influential brands….seen by thousands of commuters every day.

\r\n

Being a member of the Victorian Artists Society, Toumayan has had the chance to showcase many of his various types of styles and works, on many occasions, alongside many other talented colleagues.

\r\n

Winner of ‘Gibran’s Literary Award 1997’ and having  painted many well-known public identities, such as Queen Elizabeth, Sam Newman, Tracy Grimshaw, Jeff Kennett, as well as many other international identities……it doesn’t  look like things are slowing down for Toumayan anytime soon.
